Baby Tantrums

Anyone have any suggestions on how to handle a six-month old throwing tantrums??? I never had this problem with Ellie (she still doesn't throw tantrums really), but Ronan seems to be throwing tantrums more and more frequently! They now are occurring in the middle of the night as well as during the day. When certain things don't go the way Ronan wants (depending on his mood of course) he will throw back his head, arch his back, throw his legs and arms back and forth, and start full on screaming! I'm not sure how to handle it and have been caught quite by surprise. It seems so out of character for him... (maybe and hopefully this due to teething...???)
