Growing Food

We have started our seeds for our garden, and Donovan has even planted some outside. Ellie has been fascinated with the whole process and with watching them grow (exclaiming every day, "They're growing!!!"). We have tried to explain to her that these plants are going to grow food for us to eat. Today we were playing outside and she planted some food for us:

The one on the left is going to grow pizza and
the one on the right is going to grow sandwiches.

I thought her understanding and interpretation of growing food was pretty cute.
